About Me

I love children, their fascination with all things great and small, their awe for the world around them, their innate need to learn, their spontaneity and their amazing ability to see the magic in the world around them. I am passionate about helping children who have faced various struggles and I have a heart to help them heal and develop greater resilience in facing life’s challenges.

I am a mom of 2 children, who have brought such joy and fullness into my life, but have also opened my world to the many challenges of being a parent and also have given me the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and working in the corporate world for a number of years I decided on a career change and to follow my passion and dream to work in the psychological field.  I went back to study psychology part-time through UNISA and completed my BA (Hons) Psychology qualification in 2012 with Cum Laude. After running my play therapy practice for 6 years, I went on to further my studies with SACAP in 2022, completing a B.Soc.Sci (Hons) B.Psych Equivalent Programme with Cum Laude, towards qualifying as a Registered Counsellor. I passed the recent Board Exam and am awaiting my HPCSA registration number.

My interest in psychology grew from a yearning to serve the community and “make a small difference”; to journey with others by hearing their life stories and challenges; a fascination of the study of human behaviour and a calling to bring hope to the “broken-hearted”.
